Massive Kisan Maha Panchayat at Tohana Warned PM Modi to Respect Democracy, Hold Discussion with all Farmer Organisations, Save Life of Farmer Leader Dallewal

TOHANA: The success of the massive Kisan Maha Panchayat at Tohana, Haryana called by SKM was attended by thousands of farmers and filled confidence in the entire United Kisan Movement. The Maha Panchayat called for greater unity of farmers and extended solidarity with the farmers struggle at Khanauri and Shambu borders of Punjab.

The farmers warned the Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the authoritarian attitude and demanded him to respect democratic principles of governance. Nobody is above the rule of law in a democrcy. The NDA3 Government must hold discussions with all farmer organisations and save the life of farmer leader Jagjit Singh Dallewal at once.

The Maha Panchayat called up on farmers of Haryana to write letter from villages to the Union Minister of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare before 10th January 2025 to repeal the Pro corporate National Policy Framework on Agricultural Marketing (NPFAM).

The meeting condoled the tragic death of three women farmers belongs to Bharatiya Kisan Union Ekta (Ugrahan) in accident while travelling to Tohana from village Kotha Guru Ka of Bathinda district of Punjab.

The victims are Jasvir Kaur w/o Jit Singh, Sarbjit Kaur w/o sukhpal Singh (numberdar) and Balvir Kaur W/o Bant Singh. The Maha panchayat condoled the death of these martyrs of the Kisan movement and demanded the State Government of Punjab to provide compensation of Rs.10 lakh and one government employment to each families of the victims.
