CHANDIGARH: The Chairman of the Punjab State Cooperative Agricultural Development Bank Kamaldeep Singh Saini got elected as the Vice-Chairman of the National Cooperative Agriculture and Rural Development Banks Federation, Mumbai.
The annual general meeting of National Federation was held in Mumbai and all the members and office bearers unanimously elected Kamaldeep Singh Saini as the Vice-Chairman of the Federation.
The induction of Kamaldeep Singh Saini will pave a way for attaining new heights keeping in view his vast experience of the cooperative sector.
The National Cooperative Agriculture and Rural Development Banks Federation is a body of Agricultural and Rural Development Banks at the National level. The Federation was established in 1960 and operates as a Multi-State Co-operative Society and has 16 member banks across the country.
The federation holds regular discussions with the Central Government, foreign co-operatives and takes up matters relating to the cooperatives across the country.
At present, this development is also important as the Government of India has created a new department of Cooperation in the Union Government and Amit Shah is now holding the charge of this newly created department. With this new establishment, the role of this Federation becomes very important keeping in view the matters related to Punjab and other parts of the country.
