KURUKSHETRA: Haryana power Engineers Association (HPEA) held its executive meeting at Kurukshetra supported the agitation by the power sector employees of Chandigarh and Uttar Pradesh.
The meeting was chaired by Puneet Kundu President and attended by all the 15 newly elected executive members. The executive discussed the privatisation process being carried out by various state governments . In Uttarpradesh two Discoms have been selected to hand over to private corporate houses in the name of reforms. The employees and engineers are opposing the move without any fear.

The executive committee discussed the various problems being faced by Haryana engineers and decided to start zonal meetings within 15 days. It was also decided to provide 24 hour supply to different sets of consumers as per state government orders.
