AMRITSAR: Takht Sri Harmandir ji Patna Sahib has appointed Giani Baldev Singh as Acting Jathedar Takht Sri Patna Sahib Dr. Gurwinder Singh Samra and Giani Ranjit Singh dispute, the Jathedar of Takht Sri Harimandarji Patna Sahib, Giani Ranjit Singh Gauhar, was removed from his position.
Takht Sahib Board today appointed Giani Baldev Singh as the acting Jathedar. Singh had been serving separately at Takht Sahib for a long time and at that time was serving as an additional head granthi.
A board meeting was held under the leadership of Executive President Mr. Jagjit Singh Sohi in which Giani Baldev Singh has been appointed as Executive Jathedar. A special meeting of Takht Sri Harimandarji Patna Sahib Board was held today in which members including Executive President Mr. Jagjit Singh Sohi, Vice President Mr. Lakhwinder Singh, General Secretary Mr. Inderjit Singh, Secretary Mr. Harbans Singh attended.
All of them unanimously approved the name of Giani Baldev Singh as the acting Jathedar. The Sangats of Takht Patna Sahib have expressed their happiness on the appointment of Giani Baldev Singh. The five beloved Singhs of Takht Sahib honored Giani Baldev Singh with Siropao.
