NEW DELHI: Baba Ram Singh Seengre Nanaksar wale, a resident of Karnal who was participating in the farmers agitation at Singhu border shod dead himself in protest against apathy of center government towards farmers. Suicide by Baba Ram Singh has sent shock waves and angered the farmers and followers of Baba.
Baba Ram Singh was rushed to a private hospital in Panipat where doctors declared him brought dead. Baba Ram Singh has left a hand written suicide note in which he has stated that he had came to Delhi to express solidarity with the agitating farmers. He said that everybody has contributed for the welfare of farmers. He was not able to see the conditions in which farmers are forced to register their protest. He said that he had decided to committ suicide to support the farmer's cause. Thousands of farmers are sitting on dharna here demanding to roll back three agri laws passed by BJP government.
About 20 farmers had lost their lives so far in the 20 day old protest.Many have died in road accidents while four farmers including a woman has died due to cardian arrest.
Meanwhile, the followers of Baba Ram Singh said that Baba has nartyred for the farmer community. He has thousands of followers in India and abroad.
His deadbody is brought in Kalpana Chawla hospital in Karnal and post mortem will be conducted on Thursday.
