Cardiologist Dr. Parminder Singh, who made this history, while talking to reporters, said that Simarjit Kaur (13 years old), daughter of Harpinder Singh, a resident of Budha Khuh (Amritsar) village, when her parents brought her to the hospital for treatment, after undergoing a single cardiography. As a result of which, a vein came out of his pulmonary artery and went to the left side of the heart, due to which the dirty blood in his heart was mixing with the oxygenated good blood. Due to lack of oxygen supply in the body parts, where he was not growing physically, the color of his entire body had also turned blue. He said that such patients die before reaching the fourth decade of life.

Dr. Parminder Singh said that in 1950, an American scientist named LN Friedrich made the information about this disease public and since then less than 100 cases of this deadly disease have been registered in the whole world.


Dr. Parminder Singh said that for the treatment of this disease major bypass surgery is required, but he teamed up his team of doctors Dr. Pankaj Sarangal, Dr. Nishan Singh, Dr. Soumia, Dr. Tejbir Singh, Gaurav Hans, Gurdeep. Singh, Sandeep Kaur, Veena Devi, Parveen Kaur, Hardeep Kaur and Navneet Kaur with the support of P. D. A. The hole in the heart was closed by placing the device. He said that during the surgery, Simarjit Kaur's oxygen level increased from 70 percent to 100 percent and her color also changed from blue to pink.
