CHANDIGARH: During the first eight days of Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh's initiative Mission Fateh 2.0, a total of 51.6 lakh households have been surveyed by the ASHA covering a population of 1.95 crores.
Disclosing this here today, the Health & Family Welfare Minister Mr. Balbir Singh Sidhu said that people have reposed their faith in the Health Department and are coming forward for testing for getting treatment at early stage of COVID-19. He said that total 1, 37, 281 individuals have been tested for Covid-19 under the screening drive, out of which 4654 have been tested positive.
Mr. Sidhu said that Corona Fateh kits have been provided to all the 4095 patients in home isolation whereas 559 patients have been referred to L2/L3 facility.
Health Minister said that 246 pregnant women have also been reported as corona positive in rural areas of the state. He said that daily monitoring of these pregnant women is being done from the state headquarters.
A special helpline number has been launched today for Covid +ve pregnant women (0172-2744041, 2744040) which is operational from 9 am to 5 pm seven days a week, he added.
Giving details about the COVID cases, the Minister said that as of today, 3724 positive cases reported in Punjab and 6797 new patients discharged while 148 deaths reported of Covid patients.
