2-day ‘Global Heart Congress’ concludes

CHANDIGARH: The two-day 12th Cardiomersion Global Heart Congress concluded at Tokyo in Japan on Thursday.

The congress was organized by Dr. Deepak Puri a senior cardiac surgeon at Max Hospital, Mohali.

The 79 eminent speakers from 21 countries including USA, UK, Australia, Germany, Russia , Japan and India participated in the conference. The 69 experts attended the congress virtually.

The experts shared updates on integrated approaches to deliver comprehensive cost effective cardiovascular disease management.

Dr. John R Doty, chief of cardiac surgery at Salt Lake City USA spoke on long term results of aortic root replacement by stentless tissue valves. Whereas Dr. Johannes Mueller presented a novel technique of pulseless electrical microcurrent for treatment of heart failure with promising and sustainable results in animal as well as human hearts.

Dr. Deepak Satsangi former head of cardiac surgery at AIIMS Rishikesh and GB Pant Hospital Delhi spoke on his extensive experience on how to choose an ideal prosthetic valve for a patient.

Dr. Puri talked about comprehensive management not only improves patient outcomes, it also reduces readmissions rates and gives better immediate as well as long term outcome of patients with heart failure following heart attacks .
