AMRITSAR: Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate from Amritsar Lok Sabha Constituency and former ambassador Taranjit Singh Sandhu Samani said that central funds should be investigated under Amritsar Smart City project and we will investigate it. Strict action will be taken against the officials if found guilty.
Taranjit Singh Sandhu was holding a press conference at the BJP office today. He said that no meaningful work has been done on the smart city project in the city. The Punjab government is on the verge of bankruptcy. Central schemes are not reaching people. The law and order situation is deteriorating, there are reports of firing every day. It is the responsibility of the state government to maintain law and order in the state, but the government has completely failed in this matter as well. Speaking on drugs, he said that this government was formed in the name of eradicating drugs in 4 weeks, but the problem of drugs is that in many areas and villages of Amritsar where I visited, there are small children whose fathers Are addicted to drugs or have died due to drugs He said that in Amritsar there is sewage in many areasThe problem is, many people are forced to live in stinking water, but the surprising thing is that the elected people representatives here for the last 7 years have not done anything to solve it. Nor would they have ever noticed it.
He said that the present state government was formed in the name of change but I have visited many colonies and sewage water is flowing in the houses. The government which came forward in the name of eliminating the VIP culture is not doing anything in the name of solving the problems of the people here. Gangs and looting have become common. The public has tested everyone and now trusts the BJP.
He said that the development that is happening in India will also happen in Amritsar. He said that for me politics is not a business but public service. Amritsar is the home of virtue, not of villains. People want only good people to come forward from here. So good people should also come forward and be brought into politics. Voters of Amritsar are looking towards development, people are intelligent. People's income should increase here. Industry, agriculture and trade should grow. These people want an end to drug addiction.
Talking about the farmers, he said that I want the income of the farmers to increase, I have given them many suggestions. People want development and progress.
