PHAGWARA: One unidentified armed assailant shot dead a young trader identified as Pankaj Duggal before his residence in New Mansa Devi Nagar Phagwara late tonight. He sustained two bullet injuries. He was brought to local civil hospital but the emergency doctor declared him brought dead.
According to reports received the assailant came to his house and asked his son Sagar to call his father Pankaj from inside as soon as the deceased Pankaj came out the assailant opened fire upon him twice and ran away in a car in which his accomplice was waiting. Interestingly only PCR team reached on the spot even after one n half hour of the crime. The deceased was running his trade of confectionary in different parts of Himachal. The body of the deceased was kept in hospital mortuary now.
