PHAGWARA: The Shahkot police have booked four villagers on the charges of attempt to murder and firing. The Investigating Officer (IO) Balvir Singh said the accused had been identified as Dilbag Singh alias Baga, Sukhpreet Singh alias Riki, Kulwant Singh alias Kanti, and Varinder Pal Singh, all residents of Reharrwan village.
Kulwindar Singh alias Puni a resident of Punia Mand village complained to the police that the accused attacked and broke his vehicle’s windowpanes to kill him and opened fire.
IO said a case under section 109(attempt to murder) 125 (act endangering life or personal safety of others wrongful restraint)324(4) (mischief) and 3(5) (committing a crime with common intention), of the BNS and sections
25/27/54/59 /of the Arms Act has been registered against the accused.
