PHAGWARA: A Young man reportedly committed suicide by hanging himself with the ceiling fan in his rented house in local Hargobind Nagar locality last night.
Deep stress could be the cause of suicide committed by the deceased identified as Jagjit Singh the police said. The Police have registered a case and sent the body to local civil hospital for post-mortem examination.(EOM)
Minor girl of migrant abducted
PHAGWARA: On a complaint lodged by Uttar Pardesh Migrant Chhote Lal the police have registered a case under section 363, 366IPC against unknown youth on the charges of abducting the 16 years old minor daughter of the complainant in the pretext of marrying her.
The complainant presently residing in nearby village Bhularai told the police that his minor daughter was missing since November 11 when she went to school but not returned back.He expressed his doubt that anyone abducted her.No arrest has been made till so far.
