PHAGWARA: A motorcyclist youth tragically lost his life in a road accident in Phagwara this afternoon.
The deceased identified as Gurpreet Singh, resident of Green Park, Phagwara, was going somewhere for his domestic job, but as he reached near Central Town, a PRTC bus collided with his bike causing severe injuries to Gurpreet.
Passers-by immediately rushed him to the Civil Hospital, where the on-duty doctors declared him brought dead. The bus driver reportedly fled the scene. The police have registered a case against bus driver and are conducting further investigations into the incident
