PHAGWARA: One motorcyclist was killed on the spot while his pillion rider friend sustained serious injuries when a speeding Fortuner Car bearing registration number PB-065-0007 hit their bike on JCT Flyover in Phagwara late last night. The Fortuner overturned after the accident. The deceased was identified as Manoj resident of Haibowal Ludhiana. The injured identified as Hani resident of village Bhattian was admitted in local civil hospital.
The body of the deceased Manoj was handed over to his family members after post-mortem examination conducted in local civil hospital today. It was learnt that the Fortuner belonged to a retired SSP. The Fortuner Driver managed to escape.

The deceased was identified as Jaspal Singh of Jalandhar. The Truck driver managed to escape. The Police have registered a case against truck driver and sent the body to local civil hospital for post mortem examination.
