CHANDIGARH: In a forward-thinking initiative led by the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) in partnership with the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE), the Pre-Departure Orientation Training (PDOT) program successfully trained six participants.

The candidates hailed from diverse regions, with one from Punjab and the remaining from Uttar Pradesh, preparing for overseas assignments. This program, administered by the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC), aimed to equip migrant workers with vital knowledge on cultural practices, language skills, and regulatory requirements to ensure their safety and security abroad.

The Regional Centre for Entrepreneurship Development (RCED) served as the facilitation center for this valuable training. Under the expert guidance of Mr. Satvinder Singh, Senior Consultant at RCED, the participants received comprehensive instruction to enhance their preparedness for international employment.

The training concluded with a certificate distribution ceremony, where the Director of RCED, Mr. Paramjit Singh, along with Mr. Nirmal Datt, Retired HOD of DAV College, Sector 10A, Chandigarh, awarded certificates to the successful candidates. Mr. Satvinder Singh also presented prizes to the participants, further acknowledging their hard work and dedication. This initiative highlights the commitment to empowering skilled labor and underscores the importance of preparing individuals for global opportunities through rigorous training and support.
