06 students participated in RCED awareness program on PM employment generation.

CHANDIGARH: Regional Centre for Entrepreneurship Development (RCED) on behalf of the Khadi and Village Industries Commission (GOI) and in collaboration with DIC, Chandigarh, KVIB and PNB Lead Bank organized an Awareness Program on Prime Minister Employment Generation Program (PMEGP) at the Guru Gobind Siingh College for Women, Sector 26, Chandigarh.

The program began with an introductory address by Ms. Pragati Katoch, Faculty at RCED welcomed the guests including Mr. Joginder Kumar Bhutani, Financial Literacy Counsellor at SBIs Regional Office, Chandigarh, Mr. Anil Arya, KVIC, Chandigarh, Mr. Devinder Kumar, Khadi Board and DIC, Mr. Paramjit Singh, Director, RCED, Mr. Vijay Arora,
General Manager, RCED.

Joginder Kumar Bhutani, Financial Literacy Counsellor at SBIs Regional Office delivered an inspiring session sharing valuable insights into entrepreneurship and exploring the vast job opportunities available in the market and about PMEGP Scheme and its benefits.

Following this, Mr. Paramjit Singh, Director, RCED gave an informative presentation on the PMEGP scheme, highlighting its benefits and other schemes available to aspiring entrepreneurs and addressed the participants, providing detailed guidance on the loan process and how to secure approvals under the PMEGP scheme.

The event concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Mr. Paramjit Singh, acknowledging the efforts of the staff at Guru Gobind Singh College for Women, Sector 26, Chandigarh, including Dr Jaspreet Kaur, Coordinator Placement Cell and Head, department of Commerce, Ms. Jasneet Malhi, Placement team and HOD home science, Dr. Sonia Sharma Placement team and faculty Commerce, Dr. Amrita, Placement team and faculty Economics for their cooperation in organizing the program and 106 students have participated in this program.

The event served as an excellent platform to educate and inspire the participants, fostering entrepreneurial spirit and empowering them with the knowledge to take advantage of the PMEGP scheme.
