MANDI GOBINDGARH: Desh Bhagat University, in collaboration with Hola India, is organizing a 2-week trip to Spain. The theme of this trip is “Discovering Spain”.
To give information about this, a special lecture was organised at DBU to share detailed information about the trip. Seema Pathaan, Operational Manager , welcomed Dr Zora Singh, Chancellor, Desh Bhagat University as Chief Guest and Dr Tajinder Kaur, Pro Chancellor, Dr Virinder Singh, Vice-Chancellor, Dr LS Bedi, Dean Academic Affairs, Col Pardeep Kumar, Registrar, attended it as special guests and Ritesh Vashisht, Director, Hola India, was the guest speaker.
Dr Zora Singh, Chancellor, Desh Bhagat University, said that the collaboration of DBU and Hola India is meant to advance the study of Spanish language, literature, and culture in India. The DBU is proud to join the burgeoning field of Spanish language studies in India. The number of Spanish-speaking people in the world today exceeds 500 million.
Dr Singh said that the Desh Bhagat University students will be able to make the most of the wide-ranging teaching expertise of Indian and foreign faculty members possessing the highest level of language training and proficiency through this opportunity.
Ritesh Vashisht, Director, Hola India, shared the information about this trip, which combines leisure, knowledge and fun. She also said that it will give excellent opportunities to the students and faculty members of the University to get a certification of attendance for 40 hours of learning Spanish.
The trip includes Spanish classes, University of Madrid, boarding, lodging at UCM Campus, sightseeing, medical insurance, Visa fee and processing, pick up from the airport.
Seema Pathaan said that more than 250 students attended the event and showed their interest in this programme. At the end of the event, Seema Pathaan proposed a vote of thanks.
