MOHALI: Gian Jyoti Global School, Phase 2, celebrated the Teej Festival with great fervor and enthusiasm, showcasing the rich cultural heritage of the North. The event featured a fancy dress and group song competition, where young, enthusiastic children participated with joy and confidence, eager to win.
The celebrations were further enlivened by traditional activities such as swinging, games, and mehendi application. A cultural show added vibrancy to the atmosphere, making the day even more colorful. The menu for the day included monsoon delicacies like pakoras, puris, and kheer.
Speaking on the occasion, Principal Gian Jyot Kaur praised the efforts of the staff and students for their enthusiastic participation, highlighting the socio-economic importance of the festival and the need to stay connected with Punjab's cultural heritage.
Director Ranjit Bedi commended the students for making the event memorable and emphasized the significance of rain for agriculture and nature. She also urged students to maintain cleanliness in their surroundings during the monsoon season.
