FEROZEPUR:: Education Department organized district level educational competitions dedicated to Shaheed Bhagat Singh’s birth anniversary at Govt. Sr. Sec. School, in which large number of tehsil level winning students enthusiastically.
The events included essay competition, debate, painting etc were held under the tutelage of District Education Officer Chamkaur Singh, District Education Officer, Rajeev Chhabra, Deputy DEO Komal Arora.
Sagar Sethia, Additonal deputy commissioner{ ADC} presiding over the event as Chief Guest said, Shaheed Bhagat Singh to whom the district level educational competitions have been dedicated, are a source of inspiration for the youths and inspired the students to follow the path of martyrs.
He said, now, it is necessary that we fight together against corruption, drug addiction and bring the real freedom in the country which our martyrs have sacrificed with dreams of a free country. Later, he honoured the winning students.
Principal Vaneet Bala, Dr. Satinder Singh Block Nodal Officer, Nodal Officer Lakhwinder Singh, Nodal Officer Sandeep Kumar congratulated the winning students. In middle class debate competition, Government High School Mishriwala stood first, SSC Pir Ismail Kha second and SSC Guruharshay stood third, in secondary category SSS Boys Ferozepur stood first, S S Ruhela Haji second and S Model School Guddar Dhundi was third.
In the middle class essay competition, Aarti, a student of Government Nidak School Theh Gujjar, got the first place, Kareena, a student of Kalu Arai Hithar, got the second place and Bohar Singh, a student of S.S. Chak Haraj got the third place and in the secondary category, S. S. School Faridewala. Virpal Kaur, a student of S.S.S., stood first, Amanish Singh, a student of S.S.S. Boy Zira, was second and Boota Singh, a student of S. High School Bhangali Naraingarh, stood third
