CHANDIGARH: The Confedration Authority of Indian Traders has given a call for Bharat Bandh on Fenruary 26 to protest against GST which is complicated and amounts to harrasspment of traders.
Parveen Khandelwal Secretary General of CAIT said National governing council has taken stock of the burned of GST on traders. He said that when GST was introduced, it was promised that it would simplify the tax structure. He added that officials were given unlimited powers and hundereds of amendments were made in the GST act. He said that GST has become a hurdel for traders. He said that burden of complaince was put on traders.
He said that over 200 trader associaiton had supported the Bharat Bandh and All India Transporters Association has also decided to support the bandh. He urged all the traders associations all over the country to support the bandh call.
