SAD president disbands party units in Delhi, Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan

CHANDIGARH: Sukhbir Singh Badal president of Shiromani Akali Dal today disbanded state units of his party in Delhi, Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan.

SAD spokesman Daljit Singh Cheema said that state units were disbanded on the basis of report submitted by party observers Balwinder Singh Bhuntar, prof. Prem Singh Chandumajra and Sikandar Singh Maluka. He said that step was taken to revamp the party for 2019 Lok Sabha elections. He said that the units in three states will be reconstituted within two months after taking feed back from party workers.

Meanwhile, it is learnt that SAD was left with no option but to disband the Delhi unit after a court ordered registration of corruption case again Manjit Singh GK president of SAD Delhi unit. GK had earlier resigned as president of Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Managwmemt Committee.
