Punjab lifts restrictions on passenger buses, to run at full capacity

CHANDIGARH: Punjab Chief Minister today announced to lift all restrictions on passenger buses and buses can now ply without following social distancing norms at full capacity.

In his weekly programme 'Ask Capt Amarinder Singh' on social media, Chief Minister said that only condition on bus passengers would be to wear masks and maintain sanitation. He said that buses can ply at full capacity. He said that people must take measures to protect themselves from covid-19. He said that he was not aware when Covod-19 will reach at its peak as doctors are not able to give correct timing. He urged people to take it seriously.

He said that difficult time was yet to come and people can stop the spreead of Corona virus with precautions. He said that every day 12000 transport vehicles enter in Punjab from other states and Corona can travel from one place to another. He appealed people to wear masks in public palces. He also said that four family members can travel in a SUV. Earlier only three persons were allowed. He said that even more than four people can travel in SUV if they belong to one family. He also warned against misuse of this facility.
