Daylight Bank robbery in Amritsar, Rs. 10 lakh looted from IndusInd Bank

AMRITSAR: Three unidentified accused here today looted Rs. 10.92 lakh from the  branch of IndusInd Bank located at village Sohina Kala Khurd falling in the Majitha assembly constituency.

According to police, three masked persons, after gaining entry in the bank premises, held the entire staff hostage on gun point, tied their hands and feet and took away the cash in white car which was already parked outside the bank.

At the time of crime only three persons including branch manager, peon and one more person was present in the bank as rest of the staff was on filed duty.

After the crime, staff of liquor vend adjoining to bank heard screaming of bank staff, went inside, untied them and matter reported to police. There was no CCTV camera in the bank even no security guard with bank, said police.
