PHAGWARA:The Blood Bank in Civil Hospital Phagwara which was lying closed since February 8 due to negligent working of the blood bank staff came to light has resumed its operations at Civil Hospital Phagwara today.
This was confirmed by Senior Medical Officer Phagwara Dr. Kamal Kishore while talking to this correspondent here today.
The people were facing a lot of difficulties and much inconvenience due to closure of the blood bank.
SMO said that for this blood bank a six members team under the leadership of Dr Surpreet Kaur has been deployed to run the work of Blood Bank so that people do not have to face any problem.
Meanwhile, on the occasion of World Hepatitis Day, a blood donation camp was organized in blood bank by Hindustan Blood Donors Club during which 39 members donated blood today. The members including President Vikram Gupta, Vitin Puri, Happy Mahi, Vijay Soni, Sandeep Soni, Varun Nangla were present on the occasion.
