Jalandhar (Rural) police nabs two narcotics smugglers, recovers 1.530 Kg Heroin

JALANDHAR: The Jalandhar (Rural) police has arrested two smugglers of narcotics and recovered from their possession 1 Kg. and 500 GM of Heroin and one Splendor motorcycle bearing registration No. PB05-AC-7136 was recovered.
SSP Gurpreet Singh Bhullar said that on September 5, Sub-Inspector Surinder Kumar, SHO PS Lohian along with police party while conducting patrolling from Village Nall, Nasirpur towards Gidderpindi reached near village Gidderpindi, two persons riding a motorcycle were spotted and on suspicion, they were signaled to stop.

The motorcycle rider revealed his identity as Mukhtiar Singh (Aged about 27 years) s/o Kashmir Singh resident of Kamalwala, PS Arifke, district Ferozepur whereas the pillion revealed his identity as Karnail Singh @ Kelly (Aged about 50 years) s/o Ajit Singh resident of Nihala Kilcha, PS Sadar Ferozepur, district Ferozepur.  Their checking was got conducted upon which 800 Gm of Heroin in a plastic bag was recovered from Mukhtiar Singh and 700 Gm of Heroin was recovered from Karnail Singh.  In this regard case, FIR No. 108 dated 05-09-2017 u/s 21 NDPS Act was registered in PS Lohian of this district.  A thorough probe into the matter is being conducted.
