FCI technical assistant arrested in bribery case

NEW DELHI : The Central Bureau of Investigation has arrested a Technical Assistant (Quality Control), Food Corporation of India (FCI), Malerkotla, District Sangrur (Punjab) and a Contractual Employee while demanding & accepting a bribe of Rs.One lakh from the complainant.
A case was registered on a complaint alleging that the Technical Assistant (Quality Control), Food Corporation of India, Malerkotla, District Sangrur was demanding a bribe of Rs.One lakh for passing complainant's trucks of rice. CBI laid a trap and caught the accused while demanding & accepting the bribe of Rs.One Lakh from the complainant (A Rice Miller). Searches were conducted in the office & residential premises of both accused which led to the recovery of incriminating documents.
Both the accused were produced before the Special Judge, Patiala (Punjab) and remanded to Police Custody up to mARCH 21.
