National Lok Adalat orders to attack property of RKM Housing Sherwood Society to refund money to investor

CHANDIGARH: The National Lok Aadalat has imposed a fine of Rs.3 lakhs and pay interest of 9 percent on the payment of Rs.18.96 lakhs made by an investor to the Sherwood Officers Society and RKM Housing Limited based in Mohali. The court also ordere3d to attach the property of society to refund the amount.

Advocate Pawan Sharma one of his client Sukhraj Singh had filed a case in 2011 in the district Lok Adalat that he was allotted a plot of 200 square yards by the Sherwood society in sector 113 and an allotment letter was also given. He said that when the investr checked with the GAMAFA, there was no record of allotment.

Sukhraj Singh filed a case in Permanent Lok Adalat in 2015 and court ordered to refund Rs.18.96 lakhs with 9 percent interest. The society failed to refund the amount and Sukheraj Singh filed case in the National Lok Adalt. The National Lok Aadalat has fined Rs.3 lakh and also ordered to attach property of Sherwood society.
