Gurmat Samagam at Gurdwara Sri Manji Sahib Diwan Hall in memory of the martyrs of Saka Sri Nankana Sahib

AMRITSAR: Gurmat Samagam was organized by Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee at Gurdwara Sri Manji Sahib Diwan Hall in memory of the martyrs of Nankana Sahib massacre which took place in 1921.

On this occasion after the bhog of Sri Akhand Path Sahib, Bhai Jagtar Singh Rajpura's group performed Gurbani Kirtan and narrator Bhai Harmitar Singh connected the Sangat with Gurmat Vichars.

Paying homage to the martyrs of Nankana Sahib massacre, he said that the determination and courage shown by the Sikh warriors to liberate the shrine of the first Guru of Sikhs Guru Nanak Dev Ji from the so called mahants was due to the unity of the Sikh community.

He said that it was imperative today to be guided by these great martyrs of the nation and to set priorities for the future of the nation and especially for the Sikh youth to carry out their future responsibilities towards Sikhism.

During the function Additional Secretary of the Shiromani Committee Mr. Partap Singh, Manager of Sri Darbar Sahib. Gurinder Singh Mathrewal, Superintendent Malkit Singh Bahirwal, Manager Baghel Singh, Supervisor Kabal Singh, Kunnan Singh etc. were present.
