Balbir Singh Sidhu inaugurates Maternal & Child Healthcare Hospitals at Pathankot & Dasuha

CHANDIGARH: The Health & Family Welfare Minister Mr. Balbir Singh Sidhu today inaugurated the newly constructed Maternal and Child Healthcare (MCH) Hospitals at Pathankot and Dasuha.

Disclosing this here today in press release, the Health Minister said that a MCH hospital has been established in Pathankot district at a cost of Rs. 390 lakh which would also benefit the adjoining districts. He said that this new 30 bedded hospital in district Pathankot has all the facilities of a modern hospital.

Mr. Sidhu further said that for a long time the residents of Dasuha area of  district Hoshiarpur had been demanding for a MCH hospital, which has been fulfilled on priority basis and today a 20 bedded hospital was handed over to the public. He said that this special hospital has been set up to keep the mother and new born separate so that the treatment services could be provided in a safe manner. He said that built on an area of about 15, 000 square feet, the hospital is equipped with state-of-the-art equipment for the convenience of patients. Besides, a sewerage plant is also being set up here soon.

He said that under the guidance of the Chief Minister Capt. Amarinder Singh, 'Mission Fateh' campaign launched at the state level for the eradication of Corona virus witnessing the overwhelming support of the people. He said that this campaign was playing a vital role in eradicating the corona virus.

Mr. Sidhu also said that soon a large number of doctors and other medical staff would be recruited in the health department and the whole process would be completed in a month and a half. He said that a proposal in this regard was also being tabled in the next cabinet meeting.
