AMRITSAR: Buoyant over the recent bonhomie between Bhartiya Janata Party and Shiromani Akali Dal (Badal) at the national level, the state BJP seems all geared up for the upcoming 2019 Lok Sabha polls. Under the rural outreach program senior BJP leader and state executive member Rajinder Mohan Singh Chhina today addressed a public rally at border town Attari and met party cadre in the adjoining villages to apprise the public about the NDA’s public welfare schemes.

Chhina while addressing the gathering called on by the Rural BJP district President Ram Sharan said that the  Narendra Modi-led NDA government in which SAD is part has made tremendous  growth and economic consolidation in the last four years. Listing various welfare schemes for the people of border and rural areas, he said the neglected part had always been the priority of the NDA government. He further emphasized that the SAD-BJP alliance was one of the oldest and strongest political alliance in the country and the national level leadership meeting of Akalsi with PM Narendera Modi and BJP chief Amit Shah are the testimony to this that the bond is stronger than it is believed.

Chhian said sometimes the opposition parties including the Congress crop up the issues of differences within the alliance which is nothing but their imagination. ``The alliance is built on mutual trust and affection and there is no danger to its unity’’, said he.  He meanwhile lashed out at the state’s Congress government under Capt Amarinder Singh for ignoring the vital issues of development, deteriorating law and order situation and rising corruption. ``Under the Congress government the law and order has deteriorated and no one feels safe as the bad elements are issuing threats openely to even CM himself”, said he.
