Unidentified assailants killed four of family including two women among five

TARN TARAN:Talking to media, Superintendent of police Tarn Taran, Mr. Jagjit Singh Walia said that police got information about the murder of five people in a house at village Kairon falling in the border district Tarn Taran.
SP said that assailants have killed all the five people by slitting their throat.
Giving detail of dead, SP said deceased Brij Lal around (59) his one son Bunty (25), his two daughter-in-laws Amandeep Kaur (24) and Jaspreet Kaur (28) and family driver Gursahib (35) who was also in close relation of family.
SP said that investigation was underway to ascertain the reason behind the murder of five people inside the house besides clue about killers.
Police said that Brij Lal was facing multiple drug peddling cases registered against him by the Tarn Taran police, whereas his wife Ranjit Kaur who died in past inside the prison where she was lodged in narcotic charges.
Amandeep and Jaspreet husbands Paramjit and Sonu, were also drug addicts, currently under treatment at a de-addiction centre in Tarn Taran. However, Brij Lal’s fourth son Gurjant Singh was also a drug addict and was not at home at the time of attack. The assailants spared the four children of Amandeep and Jaspreet as they were sleeping with their mothers.
