FATEHPUR(Uttar Pradesh):Three persons, including two police personnel, died due to drowning when their boat capsized in the Yamuna river.
The incident happened on Saturday evening.
District Magistrate Fatehpur, Sanjeev Singh, told IANS that the boat capsized on Saturday evening when a hailstorm hit the district.
The NDRF team was pressed into service and the bodies of three persons, including two police personnel were recovered on Sunday morning.
"The incident took place in Mandiyan in Kishanpur police circle. The bodies of sub inspector Ranjit Bharti, constable Shashikant and the boatman Ravi have been brought out, " he said.
