CGC students bring laurels to the institution

MOHALI: Medhavi Tomer from Chandigarh Group of Colleges (CGC) Landran has won National Cadet Corp’s (NCC) All India Best Cadet Award in the Senior Wing, Army Category while Archit Awasthi another NCC Cadet from CGC made his institution proud by being a part of NCC’s marching contingent at the same event. Medhavi was felicitated by the Prime Minister, Sri Narendra Modi during PM’s NCC Rally organised annually at New Delhi. She was presented with a medal and a baton of honour by the premier.

Facing a rigorous selection procedure Medhavi had to undergo different tests and attend several camps before being selected. She appeared for written exams, IQ tests, firing, drills, squad command, personality tests, Group discussions and interviews.

Both Medhavi and Archit second year Computer Science Engineer students are keen to join the armed forces. They thanked their institution and faculty for the support and encouragement.

Commending both the cadets, Satnam Singh Sandhu, Chairman, CGC Landran and Rashpal Singh Dhaliwal, President, CGC Landran said,”We are proud of our students. Not only have they brought glory to CGC but have also set a great example for their fellow CGCians to emulate.”
