74 Veterinarians administer the professional oath at Vet Varsity

LUDHIANA: The College of Veterinary Science of Guru Angad Dev Veterinary & Animal Sciences University (GADVASU), Ludhiana celebrated the Oath Taking Ceremony of 74 passing out veterinarians of 2010 batch. Out of 74 passing out students, 18 were girls.

Dr H S Sandhu, Dean College of Veterinary Science was the chief guest on the occasion. Dr P S Mavi, Professor & Head, Department of Teaching Veterinary Clinical Complex welcomed the Chief Guest and other dignitaries, he shared the achievements of students who brought laurels to the University in the field of academics, sports, and extra-curricular activities. Dr H S Sandhu administered the Veterinarian’s Oath to the passing out graduates. Highlighting the importance of dumb creatures, he appealed the students to be kind and passionate for the profession and exhorted the students to work hard in ethical way for alleviating the sufferings of the animals. He also urged them to serve the society especially in the rural sector.

Dr Vandana Sangwan proposed the Vote of Thanks. The function was attended by the officers of the university, Heads of the departments and faculty members of the college. On the occasion an orientation programme was also organized by Virbac Animal Health pharmaceutical company.
