PHAGWARA: The Shahkot police have booked a youth on charges of kidnapping a minor girl and inducing her to compel her marriage.

Investigating officer (IO) Gurnam Singh said that the accused has been identified as Gurwindar Singh a resident of Kot Sadar Khan village under Kot Esse Khan police station Moga
The Father of the victim complained to the police that the accused kidnapped his minor daughter on August 20 by inducing her.
IO said that a case under sections 137(2) (kidnapping) and 96 (procuration of the child) of the B.N.S has been registered against the accused and raids are being conducted to nab him.
