AMRITSAR: Following the orders issued by ADA Chief Administrator Ankurjit Singh and Additional Chief Administrator Major Amit Sareen under the guidelines issued by the Punjab Government, the regulatory wing of ADA under the leadership of District Town Planner (Regulatory) Gursevak Singh Aulakh, police officers of Thana Kambo.
Amritsar Development Authority has taken action against the new unauthorized colony being built at Village Muradpura on Fatehgarh Churian Road was demolished. The District Town Planner Gursewak Singh Aulakh informed that as per the instructions of the Government to control the future development, the new unauthorized commercial colony being developed under the name of Urban Height by AGM Height at village Muradpura has been notified under Papara Act-1995. Demolition action has been taken by issuing stoppage of work , because the owners of the unauthorized colony ignored the instructions of the government and violated the government rules.
Intimidation was raised and when the reply given by the colonizer regarding the said notice was not found satisfactory, the said action was implemented under the orders of the higher authorities ADA Chief Administrator Ankurjit Singh and Additional Chief Administrator Major Amit Sareen.
Apart from this, the construction of a new unauthorized hotel under the Punjab Regional and Town Planning and Development Act- 1995 was issued under the Punjab Regional and Town Planning and Development Act- 1995 for the construction of a new unauthorized hotel at village Pandori Waraich on Majitha Road, despite the fact that the construction work by the builder not stopped Due to which, according to the Act, orders were issued by the competent authority regarding the demolition of the construction, but due to the shuttering of the lantern of the second floor on the occasion, due to the fear of loss of life, the team removed the shuttering of the construction within two days on the written request of the builder.
Orders were given regarding demolition at level and it was also clarified that if the building is not demolished by the builder at his own level, then the construction is demolished by the regulatory wing as per the orders of the competent authority.
He also clarified that according to the amendment 2024 of Papara Act- 1995 against a person who cuts an unauthorized colony, imprisonment of 5 to 10 years and a fine of 25 lakhs to 5 crores can also be imposed , under which a total of 14 colonizers have been charged. .Police department has been written to file an IR. Apart from this, the regulatory wing of PUDA periodically checks the unauthorized colonies and constructions being developed within the district Amritsar, issuing notices under the relevant act, stopping the work and asking the concerned police station officer to take further legal action.
District Town Planner (Regulatory) has also put up boards not to buy plots in the said unauthorized colony to alert the general public.District Town Planner (Regulatory) , Amritsar has appealed to the general public that before buying plots in illegal colonies which are not approved by the PUDA Department , they must seek permission issued by PUDA regarding the colony. Which does not cause loss of their wealth and does not cause trouble for them. Apart from this, before doing any kind of construction on any place, the construction should be done only after getting the CLU (Change of Landuse) and building map approved by the competent authority of PUDA.
