AMRITSAR: The Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee has started the process for the Jatha to be sent to visit Gurdwaras in Pakistan on the occasion of Khalsa Sajna Day (Vaisakhi), and has asked for passports from the pilgrims till December 25, 2024.
Like every year, a jatha of devotees will go to Gurdwara Sri Panja Sahib in Pakistan to participate in Khalsa Sajna Divas celebrations.
Giving information chief Secretary SGPC, Kulwant Singh said that a Jatha of Sikh pilgrims will be sent to Pakistan on the occasion of Khalsa Sajna Day in April 2024, which will also visit other Gurdwaras located there besides participating in the main event at Gurdwara Sri Panja Sahib.
He said that pilgrims who wish to join this jatha can submit their passports at the Shiromani Committee office at the travel department by December 25, 2024.
He said that it is necessary for the pilgrims to get a recommendation from the Shiromani Committee members of their respective constituencies and along with this a photocopy of Aadhaar card or voter card should also be given as proof of their identity.
He appealed to the devotees to submit their passports by the given time, so that the visa process can be processed on time.
