AMRITSAR: Pawan Saroop of Guru Granth Sahib who was shot during the June 1984 army action was decorated for public viewing at Gurdwara Baba Gurbakhsh Singh near Akal Takht within Golden Temple complex here today.

Large number of devotees visited for Darshan. Sangats will be able to visit Gurdwara Shaheed Baba Gurbakhsh Singh of this holy form daily from morning till evening till June 5. Along with this wounded saint, the bullet in it is also being shown to the sangat.

Today, Giani Rajdeep Singh, Granthi Singh Sahib of Sachkhand Sri Harmandir Sahib performed the service of beautifying this sacred Saroop at Gurdwara Sahib, while Giani Gurmukh Singh, Head Granthi of Sri Akal Takht Sahib informed the Sangat while sharing his views with the sangat, said that it was a picture of the wounds inflicted on the wounded Sikh community, which filled the heart of every human being with anguish.
He said that the Sikh community could never forget the atrocities committed against the Sikhs.

On this occasion former senior vice president of Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee Surjit Singh Bhitewad said that in June 1984, the Congress government at the Center had inflicted deep wounds on the Sikh community by launching a military attack on Sachkhand Sri Harmandir Sahib and Sri Akal Takht Sahib. He said that it was important to inform the coming generations about the brutal attack carried out by the government of one's own country, under which it was decided to visit the injured Sangat.

Earlier, Gurbani kirtan was performed by the ragi jathas present at Sachkhand Sri Harmandir Sahib and prayers were offered by Bhai Gurcharan Singh. On this occasion member of Shiromani Committee S. Surjit Singh Bhitewad, Bhai Manjit Singh Bhurakohna, S. Khushwinder Singh Bhatia, S. Sukhwarsh Singh Pannu, Chief Granthi of Sri Akal Takht Sahib Giani Malkit Singh, Deputy Secretary Media. Kulwinder Singh Ramdas, Manager of Sri Darbar Sahib. Sulukhan Singh Bhangali, Superintendent Malkit Singh Bahirwal, Manager Harpreet Singh, S. Satnam Singh Mangasarai, Additional Manager Satnam Singh Riyad, S. Nishan Singh, S. Jaspal Singh Dhade, Head Pracharak Bhai Jaswinder Singh Shahur, Pracharak Bhai Balwant Singh Enokot, Bhai Gurbachan Singh Kalsian, Bhai Amar Singh, Bhai Gurnam Singh, Bhai Harpreet Singh and a large number of sangats were present.
