Woman travel agent booked for duping Nurmahal village resident woman  of Rs 1 Lakh

NURMAHAL:  The Nurmahal police have booked a woman travel agent   for allegedly duping a Nurmahal village resident woman of Rs.1 lakh on the pretext of sending her relative abroad.

 Nakodar deputy superintendent of police Navneet Singh Mahal   said that the accused has been identified as Priya Sharma  a resident of Mehat Pur  .

 The investigating officer said that Rajdip Kaur    a resident of Sidham Hari Singh complained to Jalandhar(rural) senior superintendent of police (SSP ) that she paid Rs One lakh  to the accused for facilitating her relative ‘s  migration abroad  but the accused  did not send him abroad nor returned the money

. IO said that a case under sections 406 (breach of trust), 420 (cheating), of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and section 13 of the Travel Profession Regulation Act has been registered against the accused after an inquiry.
