Tavleen Kaur, Student of Vet Varsity bags silver in Punjab Horse Show

LUDHIANA: Tavleen Kaur, a student of Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University, Ludhiana won the Silver and Bronze Medal in 7th Punjab Horse Show and R.E.L Competition which was held at Kapurthala. She won the Silver Medal in Open Hacks category and Bronze Medal in Ladies Hacks category.

In Open Hacks the Patiala Riders got the 1st position and Tavleen Kaur got the 2nd position followed by the Punjab Police at 3rd position. In this competition various colleges, universities and clubs were participated even players of Punjab Police also left behind by Tavleen Kaur. She was the first competitor to compete this type of competition and to win a medal. Even last year Tavleen Kaur participated in 6th Punjab Horse Show in PPS Nabha and she won silver medal that time also.

Tavleen said that she will be continuing participating in these types of competition in the future also. Talking about the Royal Game of Horse Riding she said that it is the only one game in the world where girls get equal credit as boys. According to her Horse Riding is traditional game and humans having a lovely bond with the horses thousands years back.

Tavleen was congratulated by Dr. Satyavan Rampal, Director Students Welfare and he hoped that Tavleen will get more laurels in the future for the university. she is  also encouraging various students to take part in this Game. Other than the horse riding Tavleen Kaur also has a keen interest in Shooting and Archery. She revealed that  she has desire to serve the Nation as an IPS Officer.
