Panjab Varsity clinch two more judo gold medals

CHANDIGARH: Hosts Panjab University maintained their supremacy by winning two more gold medals, brining their tally to four out of four finals on the second day of the All India Inter University Judo (Men) Championship at the Panjab University Gymnasium here today.
Akshay defeated Shivam Salman of Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar to clinch gold for Panjab University in the 56 kg class final. Munish got fourth gold for Panjab University after beating of Maharishi Dayanand University, Rohtak in the 73 kg final bout.
56 kg: 1 Akshay ( Panjab University, Chandigarh), 2 Shivam Salman (Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar), 3 Shravan Shedge ( Dr. BAM University-Aurangabad) and Shiva Kumar (Punjabi University, Patiala).
73 kg: 1 Munish Kumar (Panjab University, Chandigarh.), 2 Kunal (Maharishi Dayanand University, Rohtak), 3 Amrit Pal Singh (Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar) and 3 Attar Singh (Kurukshetra University).
