Angad Cheema and team win the Pro-Am

CHANDIGARH: Tricity-based professional Angad Cheema and his team won the Pro-Am event of the TAKE Open 2017 played at the Chandigarh Golf Club here today.

The Pro-Am was played in the Scramble (Best Ball) format where the best ball was chosen on every shot with all other players placing their ball within One Club Length and continuing play.  

Panchkula-based professional Angad Cheema led his team to victory in the Pro-Am event with a total score of 53.8. Cheema’s team comprised of amateurs Brig. P P S Dhillon, Mr. Vishal Sharma and Col. K S Thandi.

Delhi professional Honey Baisoya helped his team finish first runners-up with a score of 53.9. Baisoya’s team comprised of amateurs Mr. Sukhjit Lehal, Mr. Rao Birender Sidhu and Mr. R S Pammi.

Gurgaon-based professional Jyoti Randhawa helped his team finish second runners-up with a score of 55. Randhawa's team comprised of amateurs Mr. Dilsher Alamgir, Mr. I S Dhillon and Mr. Gurpreet Singh.

The prize for the closest to the pin on hole no. 8 was won by Col. B S Rangi who made a hole-in-one.

The prize for the closest to the pin on hole no. 14 was won by  Sanjeev Kaila whose shot landed 5 feet and 11 inches from the hole.

The prize for the straightest drive on hole no. 5 was won by  R S Pammy whose shot landed two inches from the centre of the fairway.

The prize for the straightest drive on hole no. 18 was won by  Darvesh Kumar whose shot landed one feet and four inches from the centre of the fairway.Angad Cheema and team win the Pro-Am
