Ajay, Suryanshi and Poorvi in line for double title each

CHANDIGARH: Ajay Singh, Suryanshi Tanwar and Poorvi Bhatt are in line for a double each as they entered the Under-16 as well as Under-18 singles finals in their respective categories in the CLTA-AITA Championship Series (CS-7) Tennis Tournament at the Sector 10 Tennis Stadium here today.
CLTA trainee Ajay Singh played consistently with good rhythm. Ajay displayed top quality tennis with his intelligent shots to help and win the match 6-0, 6-0 in one sided match from his hitting partner another CHART trainee Jitin Kumar Chetry. Ajay will play against Lakshya Gupta in Boys under-18 singles final. Lakshya Gupta defeated 4th seed Uddayvir Singh in a easy match 6-3, 6-1.
In boys under-16 singles semifinals second seed Ajay Singh defeated Smar Bir Singh Sidhu in one sided match by conceding only one game 6-1, 6-0. In another semifinals 6th seed Rohan Mittal defeated Gurustat Singh Makkar 6-2, 6-2 in straight sets.
In girls event Suryanshi Tanwar of CLTA and Poorvi Bhatt also moved into finals in girls under-16 and 18 singles. Suryanshi and Poorvi Bhatt will play each other in both singles finals tomorrow.
In girls under-16 singles Semifinals Suryanshi defeated another CLTA trainee Pawandeep Kaur 6-0, 6-1. In another Semifinals Poorvi Bhatt defeated Tanisha Pranjal in straight sets 6-1, 6-2. Poorvi Bhatt defeated same opponent Tanisha Pranjal 6-1, 6-3 In girls under-18 singles semifinals.

Girls under-16: Poorvi Bhatt (UP) bt Tanisha Pranjal (UP) [Q] 6-1, 6-2, Suryanshi Tanwar (HR) [8] bt Pawandeep Kaur (PB) [7] 6-0, 6-1.
Girls under-18: Poorvi Bhatt (UP) bt. Tanisha Pranjal (UP) 6-1, 6-3, Suryanshi Tanwar (HR) [Q]
