Capt Amarinder blames Navjot Sidhu for failed Mission 13 in Punjab, hints at action

CHANDIGARH: Punjab Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh today blamed local bodies minister Navjot Singh Sidhu for harming the Congress party with his statement given in Bathinda on last day of campaigning. He puts the onus of party's failure to achieve Mission 13' target on Sidhu and hinted at action against him.

Sidhu had blamed Capt Amarinderr Singh for playing friendly match with Badal family and given call to voters to defeat the forces which are colluding with each other. Sidhu was speaking at an election meeting of Raja Amarinder Singh Warring.

Addressing media here Capt Amarinder Singh said that centeral party high command would take approperiate action against Sidhu. He said that his statement was harmful for the party.

While thanking the people of Punjab for giving 8 Lok Sabha seats to Congress, Capt Amarinder Singh expressed shock at the defeat of PPCC president Sunil Jkhar in Gurdaspur. He said that Jakhar had done lot of work and he is an experienced leader.

Chief Minister said that sacrilege of Guru Grnath Sahib was a big issue in elections and this is the reason SAD could win only two seats. He said that he had not given any concession to Badals on the sacrilege issue and action would be taken on the basis of SIT report. He said that there was a proper procedure to file the case.
