HP Governor and CM pays homage to Martyr Sepoy Vijay Kumar

SHIMLA: Himachal Pardesh Governor Acharya Devvrat and Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur have paid tribute to Martyr Sepoy Vijay Kumar who was martyred in an encounter in the Sopore of district Baramulla in Jammu and Kashmir's on Friday. Aged 30, he belonged to Uttapur village of GP Makri, Naina Devi in district Bilaspur and was posted with 22 Rashtriya Rifles of Army.

The Governor said that the brave soldier of Himachal Pradesh has made supreme sacrifice for the country. He prayed the Almighty to give peace to the departed soul and strength to the bereaved family members to bear this irreparable loss.

In his message, the Chief Minister said that the gallant soldiers of the State have always fought for the security of the nation and have made the state proud. The Country and State would never forget the ultimate sacrifice of Sepoy Vijay Kumar in the line of duty.

The Chief Minister prayed for the peace to the departed soul and extended his sympathies to the grief-stricken family members.
