Honeypreet sent to Judicial custody, Haryana Police failed to fetch enough evidence against her

PANCHKULA: Honeypreet the adopted daughter of dera Sacha Sauda chief Gurmeet Ram Raheem Singh was today presented in the court on completion of her 9 days police remand. The court  directed to send her in judicial custody for 14 days. Next hearing in case is October 23. She is sent ot Ambala jail.

The court also sent Sukhdeep Kaur co-accused in the case to judicial custody. The Haryana Police had registered a case against Honeypreet and others for planning and executing violence in Panchkula on the day when dera Sacha Sauda head was sentenced to 20 years imprisonment in rape case.

Honeypreet was arrested on October 3 from Zirakpur in Patiala when she was travelling in SUV with Sukhdeep Kaur. Haryana Police had alleged that Honeypreet stayed at the house of Sukhdeep Kaur in Balluana in Bathinda district. Honeypreet was missing after Ram Raheem was sentenced on August 28 last. She accompanied Ram Raheem to Rohtak jail but went underground after reaching Rohtak. Haryana police raided many places including border areas of Nepal to arrest her.

The police reported to ahve failed to fetch credible evidence of involvement of Honeypreet in the violence in which 35 people were killed and many others were injured. Large number of vehicles including media vans were burnt by the mob.

Vipasna Insan, the spokesperson of Dera Sacha Sauda was today called for questiining to find missing mobiles and laptop of Hineypreet who told police that she handed over mobiles to Vipasna. Police claimed one mobile has been recovered.
