Haryana to set up media center in every district: Kavita Jain

CHANDIGARH: Haryana Information, Public Relations and Languages Minister, Mrs Kavita Jain today launched the website of the department and said that media centre would be set up in each district of the state, for which, Rs 10 lakh each had been allocated. Apart from this, a provision of Rs 10 lakh each has been made to strengthen the sound system of the Department, she added.

Jain was presiding over the meeting of District Information and Public Relations Officers, at Panchkula near here today.

The newly launched website of the Department has been created with a new technique and it would have all information besides working of the department. The website would be updated from time to time, to provide various kinds of information to people.  

 The Director General of the Department, Mr Sameer Pal Srow said that media centres would be set up in every district by March end this year and all the districts would have best media centres with facility such as Wi-Fi, LED screens, computers and RO systems. In order to strengthen the sound system of the department, provision of Rs 10 lakh each has been made and under this, technical personnel would also be apprised with the knowledge of new equipment, he added.

Srow said that in order to strengthen the working system of the department, the old vehicles in the district offices would be scrapped and new vehicles would be purchased. Various digital platforms have been used to promote government schemes at Block level also.

Those present included Principal Secretary, Information, Public Relations and Languages, Mr Rajesh Khullar, Joint Director (Admin), Mr Sudhanshu Gautam, Additional Director (Press), Mr Rajiv Khosla, Joint Director (Field), Mr Kuldeep Saini and Joint Directors, Dr Ved Prakash and Mrs Raj Pannu, and other senior officers of the department.
