While stating this here today, an official spokesman said that Chief Minister, Manohar Lal has approved a proposal in this regard.
He said that the gram panchayat, Pindari had requested that the name of the village is famous as ‘Pandu Pindara’ not only in ancient mythology, Mahabharata, Bhagwat, and Granth but also registered in the Indian Railway Administration and other documents and Haryana Government Departments. Only in the Revenue Department, the name of the village is registered as Pindari.
He said that therefore, the villagers had requested that with a view to maintaining the dignity of tirath ‘Pandu Pindara’ as well as village and also to get rid of this confusion, the name of village ‘Pindari’ should be changed to ‘Pandu Pindara’.
