Ex Cop of Delhi Police wanted for carrying out organised ATM loot arrested in Nuh

CHANDIGARH: In a major break-through, Haryana Police have arrested a wanted criminal, carrying a reward of Rs50, 000 on his arrest, from Nuh district.

The accused is a former employee of Delhi Police and wanted by the Police in Haryana, Kerala, Maharashtra, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Gujarat, Udaipur (Rajasthan) and Odisha in many criminal cases.

Giving this information here today, a Haryana Police spokesperson informed that the arrested accused was identified as Aslup, a resident of Shikarpur village. The accused who involved in about two dozen criminal cases pertaining to organized ATM loot, attempt to murder and hurt was absconding for a long time. Nuh Police has announced a bounty of Rs 50, 000 on his arrest.

Divulging the details, he informed that a CIA team, during patrolling had got a secret input from an informer about the presence of a wanted criminal near KMP road Rewason on Delhi-Alwar Highway. Police party immediately swung into action and managed to arrest Aslup following a raid.

During preliminary interrogation, the accused confessed to having his involvement along with others in about two dozen cases of ATM loot, attempt to murder and hurt in Nuh as well as in Kerala, Maharashtra, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Gujarat, Udaipur (Rajasthan) and Odisha. Police of these states had been looking for him for a long time. He was sacked by the Delhi Police and has been absconding for a long time.

A case under the relevant sections of IPC was registered against the accused. The matter is being investigated thoroughly and further probe is underway.
