PATIALA: Glowing tributes were paid to Kiran Sekhon, wife of Dr AS Sekhon, a former President of the Punjab Medical Council and Dean of the Gian Sagar Medical College and Hospital, at her bhog and Antim Ardas at Moti Bagh Gurdwara here today.
Preneet Kaur, sitting MP from Patiala and a former Minister of State for External Affairs, and a galaxy of doctors from all over Punjab and neighbouring states attended the bhog ceremony. Prominent citizens were present on the occasion. Condolence messages from different social and welfare organizations were also received.
Kiran Sekhon breathed her last in a private hospital in Ludhiana on February 7 where she was undergoing treatment for about a week. She was 76. She is survived by her husband, a son and a daughter.
